Which do you think better to upgrade to a higher base package or to buy separately?
I guess you're referring to the new Logos6 packages? My impression so far is to buy separately, but I still have to finish my spreadsheet.
You will always save more money by upgrading vs. buying separately but there will be some resources that you will probably never use. That doesn't bother me because having a larger library just improves the opportunity for better searches for research. For these reasons I have always chosen deals that will give me the most number of resources.
Another question, so Logos come out with an upgrade every couple years? When is Logos 6 coming out?
There are a number of threads devoted to that very topic. All we know now is that there is no public beta, and some of the people normally involved in the private beta are currently not involved with one. Thus this leaves us to speculate that they will follow the previous trend and release L6 in the fall of next year(if I remember correctly).
Upgrading is always better and cheaper and you're still left with money to buy separately [;)] At least, that's how I've added other top commentaries and resources to my library. Upgrading and purchasing separately! You may only want one resource, but that could be worth the upgrade price or more.
Blessings!

Asking all these questions about L6 isn't going to make it come any more quickly. Judging by past experience, it is at least a year off, probably more like a year and a half. Way too premature to be wondering about what to do when it is released. Enjoy L5!
Yep, and when it does come out, upgrade! Meanwhile, O.P. you can add some of the things you want, just save for your upgrade, you may still have a year left to take the plunge to the biggest upgrade [;)]
I am not sure I'm going to jump on either (regular) Diamond or Portfolio. More likely to jump on Reformed Diamond... But we shall see.
