Proclaim crashes whilst on air

Proclaim has crashed after about 1 hour whilst on air on several Sundays.

The screen freezes, I can't advance to the next slide, nor even close the program.

I have to reboot the computer to continue.

I have been using video loop song backgrounds and wonder whether that is connected.

I am using Proclaim on a Windows 7 Acer pc with over 300GB free space and 8GB RAM.

Any help would be appreciated.

Your logs don't indicate any issues. I would suggest making sure all video drivers are up to date, as well as download any updates for your computer. Also are you using a projector? If this is the case, make sure the drivers for the projector are up to date as well. After you do this, restart Proclaim and see if this causes problems.

Also, does this only happen with certain video backgrounds, or every video background you use?

Hi Angela,

I have been having a similar problem for quite a while and may have found a solution (not sure though as i have only just tried it but it has seemed to work). If you have administrator rights, try running it as administrator and see what happens.

Also when Proclaim crashes, if you open the task manager and go into processes and end the process "Proclaim.exe", it should kill it properly and is much quicker than having to restart.

Hi Spencer - I have stopped using more video backgrounds for the time being which has solved the issue! Or maybe one of your recent upgrades I don't know.

I am not sure how to check that I have the correct video drivers but I am working on getting one of our techy guys to do that for me.
