BUG or inconsistency? suppressed options on right click

When I select "tomb" I get two options - Bible Word Study and Topic Guide - both of which have data when run.

When I select angelophany, I do not get the Topic Guide because it isn't in the LCV but I do get Bible Word Study which also has no entry. I prefer that the BWS also be suppressed.

Now does anyone know of a good study of angelophanies of the Bible?

    I would prefer that Bible Word Study be suppressed in that and similar instances as well. Less useless clicking.

    Searching for angelophany articles found one that suggested two other search terms:

    Theophany, Angelophany, Christophany

    Noticed 11 articles in => https://www.logos.com/product/3854/encountering-the-divine-theophany-in-biblical-narrative

    From what I can tell in the specs, Bible Word Study doesn't run on LCV; it runs on reverse interlinear from highest priority English translation. Hiding the BWS option from the context menu if the selected word didn't appear in the RVI was discussed, but was deemed draconian.

    All that to say the current implementation is by design.

    May I suggest that Logos is mixing two design goals in an unsuccessful manner. It is called "Context Menu" because it is subject to context ... down to the level of person, place ... on the other hand, a few items stick out like sore thumbs because they are missing the "context" portion - the information line (bottom right), the Proclaim link, and this case BWS. This is the sort of mixed message that causes users to complain that Logos is "not intuitive". What you call "draconian" I call "consistency" ... "consistency" is a fundamental principle for an intuitive UI.

    If there are no results, get rid of it!

    This is both deceptive and a waste of our time. If people see BWS as an option for 'Angelophany', many will think "What? That word is in the Bible?", and precisely because that surprises them so much, many will become curious enough to actually run it -- only to feel cheated and annoyed when it turns out you've led them on a wild goose chase.

    Given your recent change of heart on the other suppress thread, what about this one?[:)]
