Sorting clippings (especially by passage)

As far as new features would go, it would be great if Clippings documents could be automatically sorted by Bible passage. Sometimes, when clipping from a survey of commentaries, I'm left with quite a mess. Dragging every clipping into place takes forever, and Clippings's export capabilities are a bit underwhelming.

I suppose other automatic sorting methods might be helpful, too.

    Anything that enhances the sort and organization functions for those who are engaged in research that must be sequentially presented would be welcomed.
