BUG: Continually trying to download resources

On both my laptop and desktop (Verbum 5.2b beta 3) I got a message today, Resources to be downloaded, restart (the normal message) - but when I did, no resource(s) actually were downloaded! I have it set up to show me new resources on my Home Page, I checked the dates/times of resources in the Resource Manager/Resources folder, and before the second computer restarted I did a folder compare and they were the same - so nothing came down.

It keeps repeating - OK, on a hunch I did a "Update Resources", and it just downloaded 9.8MB of resources - I suspect when I restart there will be nothing new. How can I fix this or figure out what it is downloading? I won't restart until I hear. I have seen it 3 straight times now.

Also tried without success: deleting the folder U:\Logos4\Data\<...>\ResourceManager\Downloaded\

This is what it keeps downloading constantly. Each folder has a file of the same name, appended by a ".logos4". I don't think these are resources I own, I tried typing the name in the command box and it was not recognized. Total file size of the download about 9.8MB.

Any help with this? Thanks!

One clarification/correction - the 7 .logos4 files in these 7 folders match files in my Resources folder at least by file size, although they are all time stamped June 12.

I do not think these are resources I own, I may be wrong, but:

1. I deleted from my Resources folder, placed them in another folder, did a SCAN of them. It did not pick them up.

2. I deleted them from my Resources folder, did an Update Resources, when the download came down I restarted, and they were not updated to my Resources folder.

3. I cannot type the name into the Command box and bring them up. You can do these with any licensed file.

I believe your system scheduled these for download after you had purchased the Daniel & Revelation Committee Series but before you returned that order. (I have confirmed that the update server is not currently instructing your computer to download these resources.) The program can't open them because it doesn't have licenses for them.

You should be able to fix this by deleting ...\Data\...\UpdateManager\Updates.db

This will remove the cached record causing Verbum to attempt to download the resources.

Now that you are on to this, I Have two other old folders in my Downloaded folder - LLS_TTAPR05 and LLS_TTAPR08. Are these old resources ordered and returned as well? I notice it downloaded fresh copies of them this morning (but not the problematic 7 resources you addressed). I wonder why my system downloaded them again? Should I just delete them?

TTAPR05 and TTAPR08 are TableTalk magazine resources that I own. I can bring them up in Logos. These two have a later date and a different size than hat is in my Resources folder. Are they updates that won't get assumed into Logos for some reason> How do I resolve this?
