Anyone receive this volume yet, mentioned in today's blog?
Not yet, but I hope it comes soon. [:)]
Yes, the blog states that Lamentations "is the latest release" in the EEC series, which is really good news considering this is months before the estimated publications date.
What is really strange is that the EEC page on Logos.com indicates the estimated publication date for Jeremiah as April 1, 2015 and Lamentations with an estimated publication date of October 1, 2014. You can see it at https://www.logos.com/product/7565/evangelical-exegetical-commentary#018.
What is even more strange is that the EEC site http://evangelicalexegeticalcommentary.com/volumes/ lists the release order very differently. Instead of Lamentation being released first as part of the two-part volume, Jeremiah is estimated to be released first with a date of October 1, 2014. The expected release date for Lamentations is not until October 1, 2015.
I am not complaining, the faster the volumes are released the better.
Logos can be its own worst enemy, you would have hoped they would have aligned the various websites if the blog is actually correct that Lamentations is indeed imminent.
I was just coming on here to ask...blog post sure makes it sound like it's been released and ready for purchase. I haven't downloaded it yet, and not yet available to me on biblia.com
Jacob... I've looked for it as well. I think Logos makes it available initially to those who forked over the major $$$ for the entire EEC, and then in a month or two, makes it available to those of us who buy the EEC a book at a time. Well, at least this is how it worked the past couple of EEC book releases.
I has not been made available yet- I have EEC series no hint it has arrived yet, there should have been a date added so there would not once again be all this speculation.

I agree. That would have been helpful.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We're currently looking into it.Many apologies for the delay/confusion.
Thanks Justin.
We intended to ship EEC Lamentations by the time the blog post went up, but due to a internal miscommunication it was accidentally delayed. It will automatically download within two weeks. We sincerely apologize for the delay.

Any of us who lead organizations will be familiar with this challenge so I'm sure it should be easy for most of us to extend grace. [:)]
That is most excellent...especially considering it is months and months before the projected publication date!
I recall Andre Kamphuis had posted in the forums that he had been speaking to a manger in the publishing department at Logos and that Logos was planning on updating the release dates of the various EEC volumes, as well as pushing out the estimated final completion date for the entire EEC series until 2022. Justin, can you confirm this is still being worked on?
Of course, I never make mistakes, or miss deadlines. So I cannot understand how this could happen.
NOT!!!!!
That's correct--we're still working on updating the estimated release dates for each volume (and the series as a whole).
Thanks Justin
EEC Lamentations has shipped and is now available on desktop platforms. It will be available on mobile/internet platforms this afternoon.
Thank you all again for your patience. Enjoy!
I receive EEC Lamentations now. Thanks.
Thanks for the update Justin!
Great news. I'm excited to see another volume available.
Can anyone export Chapter 2, Stanza 2 of EEC Lamentations to a Word Document or RTF? It seems to create an unusable document for me. Chapter 1 was fine, and other resources I've tried have been fine, but I wondered whether there was a formatting problem within this resource. Thanks.
Andrew,
I did the export of Chapter 2, Stanza 2 of EEC Lamentations (RTF) and everything looked just fine.
Alain
Andrew, I have the same experience as you... exporting/copying Chapter 2/Stanza 2 to WORD renders mostly unusable, if not non-existent text. No issues with exporting/copying chapter 1.
Windows PC, WORD 2010.
I was able to export all of stanza 2 to new word document with no problems.
Thanks, guys. They say two out of three ain't bad, but if you include my experience, that's two out of four. I'm not sure why it seems to be okay for some but not others. It seems okay as a txt file, and the rtf is fine if I open it in WordPad, but not in Word 2007. Maybe there's an issue with Word. I can even copy from the rtf in WordPad into Word, so I guess that's a workaround and I don't have time to investigate more thoroughly at the moment.
Thanks again for the help.
