Yes.... but why should I buy it? What books are "classics" and why?
Can anybody help those who haven't bid (like me)?
I am not aware that any of these works are "classics" per se (although I have appreciated William Kelly's commentaries for other books) but my strategy for purchasing all of the "classic commentaries" including this upgrade series is to create a library that will allow deeper study when I really want to look into a particular subject or verse. Having a larger library allows me to be able to look at a broad variety of perspectives.
Now, we should all be aware that there are two German volumes and one French volume so that will be limiting for some. But having 9 English volumes for $21 is still a great deal.
Ideally I think we can get this down to $19 with a few more votes. Any takers?
I agree with Bruce. I have bought many of these "classics" to bolster my reference library. I will not read them all, just as I don't read any of my modern commentaries cover to cover. But for difficult passages, different perspectives, different times/mindsets and many of them are quoted by the must reads of today. I prefer to go back to primary documents as much as possible and some of these allow me to do so. Less than $3 a book is not a bad deal.

I never bid on these collections. There simply aren't enough resources in them that I'll use to justify the expense. I already have well over a thousand resources that have never been accessed in my library; I don't need to add more.
I wish I'd known then (when I started buying Logos resources) what I know now.
I'm getting it primarily for this title...

My thinking is just a little different. If I saw this collection sitting in a book store for around $20, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it. Its true, I may not get much use from it, on the other hand, without knowing what all it includes, I might.
