BUGs / Problems: Dead Sea Scrolls

I have had a number of problems trying to work with the Dead Sea Scrolls (both Abegg and Martinez)

1) The names of documents is case sensitive: I cannot enter "cd" but must enter "CD". I can't enter "1q..." but must enter "1Q..."

2) In QSM, searches are a disaster. Searching for the lemma of the very first word in the corpus (עַתָּה) produces zero hits - both as a basic and a morph search. Yet, a search for the second word (שׁמע) produces the requisite number of hits (272)

3) The search results are garbage:

4) The search results do not take you to the actual verse. The following search result takes one to the beiginning of 1QS and one then has to scroll down to find the hits...

5) There is no way to see a list of all hits. I know that there are 6 hits in 1QS, but what are they????

[Responding to a question on another thread about what Logos cannot do. In a fraction of a second in another program, I could produce a list of the 272 hits in 265 verses of שׁמע in QSM. With a few clicks I could copy these hits (with or without the text) to the clipboard, the program editor, or a word processor]

The case sensitivity problem you mentioned should be fixed when the next update is released.

I've looked over the other problems. Here is what I found.

Regarding item #2: Melissa has reported the issue, but it has not yet been resolved.

Regarding item #3: the issue of words displaying out of order in search results should be fixed in the beta that Bradley mentioned above.

#4: The blue "1QS" is a link to the top of the document. If you want to go directly to the word that was found, click on the highlighted word in the search result list. It should take you directly there.

#5: The search results are grouped together and a short preview is provided containing the first word in that group. I know of no way currently to expand the search results to display each result on its own. After searching, however, all results should be highlighted in the document itself, so if you navigate to the manuscript you are interested in and scroll down, it should be fairly easy to find all of the results.

#2 is the same as http://wiki.logos.com/Bug$3a_Hebrew_Lemma_Searches_often_fail and is also fixed in 4.0b.

Thanks for addressing these issues.

The problem of search results (with both these texts and other versified ancient manuscripts) is one that really needs to be addressed. These texts should have results which display like biblical texts.
