Video card system requirement

I am shopping for a new laptop. I want to be able to run Logos 5 on it. The recommended system requirements list a 1GB video card. Laptops typically do not have separate video cards. Should I ignore this requirement, or should I be looking for something else?

Welcome to the forum!
You can safely ignore this recommendation if you're getting one of the newer dual cores or quad cores with integrated GPU. Any laptop introduced in the last year should do just fine.
Unless you're into multiple monitor setups, Logos does not make heavy demands on the graphics sub-system. So this part shouldn't affect your decision much. Logos however is disk-intensive and CPU-intensive, so you should definitely factor that in. Also if you are staring at a screen all day, a bigger, sharper screen is always nice.0 -
Does anyone know whether a gaming or business video card would be better with Logos 5? I'm looking at getting a new laptop and in 17" there isn't much choice. I need to decide to go with something with a gaming card e.g. GT750 or GTX860 or something with a business card e.g. K1100 or K2100. Logos shouldn't require too much muscle but I'm not sure what kind of muscle it mostly uses. Thanks!

If you're only concerned about the speed of Logos, you might be able to measure the difference in microseconds. [:)]
But other factors? Maybe K2100M has a higher power draw (up to 55W)? You can read online reviews.
