I was helped greatly by this blog post recently, the idea of utilizing a collection of "application" is a good idea and I have been playing around with it.

My question is: What resources would you recommend to put in this collection in order to get the most applicable hits? I have been playing around with it and have can see the value.

I realize it all depends what package you have, but what resources do you find are helpful to use in an "application collection?"

I'm glad my post helped you. Here are a few quick recommendations:

• The Journal of Biblical Counseling - This is the journal of the CCEF staff at Westminster Theological Seminary and is by far my favorite pastoral care resource. It goes extremely in-depth to the heart of counseling matters.
• Hope for the Heart Biblical Counseling Library - This isn't nearly as deep as the JBC but it's useful because of its scope - it covers nearly everything you can think of.
• Various handbooks on pastoral care
• Your favorite authors. I have some great Christian-life-type books by some of my favorite authors like Tozer, Piper, and Packer that show up in this collection.
