I really love all the different ways to mark up a text! I use it with my small group to deal with different aspects of the text as we do our inductive Bible study. I would like to request the option to go even further with that. Here are three Emphasis Markup features I'd like to see in the future:
1. Connected Words: I wish there was a way to highlight all the words in a text that share a root/lemma, and connect them with visual lines. More than colors, the lines connecting the words show how a word is used down through passage.
2. Connected Thoughts: Similar to the above, it would be cool to be able to put a circle around a verse or two in the beginning of the passage, then connect it via a curved line to another circle around a different section later in the passage that is connected thematically (or in counterpoint to it - for example, the vice list contrasted with the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:19-23).
3. Chiasm Tool: Chiasm is one of the major structural elements that the writers of Scripture used to draw attention to certain ideas and to make their point (under the inspiration of the Spirit). I would love a way to insert a bold or color-coded chiasm marker inside the text.
