Hi all,
I am using the flash card app on my iphone.
I built a word list using Matthew.
I found something that confused me.There is a flash card with the following greek word
Phoneticly
Epsilon sigma rho omega mu. (Esrom)
But the back of the card is spelled HEZRON
I looked in the NA27 Greek text and found the text to confirm Esrom, both in Greek and English
However, when reviewing the NASB 1995 update, it shows the word as Hezron. The King James translates same word as Esron.
I realize that this is a 'Name' and not just a word, and ordinarily there would be no correlation between the Greek word and the translated text on the back. It would seem to me that when using flashcards to learn the Greek words, that they should be more precisely with the Greek text... or at least show alternative uses???
Just seems like it would make using the flash cards to learn the Greek a little confusing if the Greek spelling doesn't match the Greek name???
am I over-thinking this?
