Reverse Interlinears

In the "New to Logos 4... Start Here" the Reverse Interlinears are specifically said NOT to be included - in A7. But...

I'm pretty sure that a couple of you referred to your reverse interlinears as though they are available and functioning in A9 (I can't find those references now, so it's possible I'm dreaming).

I have - via command bar - updated resources and merged indexes several times. My logs seem to show activity but I'm certain I don't understand what is going on.

Point is: I do not have anything remotely like a reverse interlinear showing up. So... 1) should I have access to them in A9? 2) If so... whassup?

The Interlinear button has not been implemented in L4 for Mac yet.

The only way to access any of the Reverse Interlinear info right now is to right click on a word.

If you right click on a word in the ESV, NRSV, NASB, NLT and a few others, you should see Lemma information as a choice on the right side of the menu.

For now that is how you can verify that you have them.

There have also been some problems with the Reverse Interlinears on the Windows side over the past couple of days, and we've recently narrowed down the problem and figured out that when the date rolled over to 2010 is when it stopped working. So if you set your computer clock back to sometime in December, it will fix it again. That is, for the parts of the feature that are implemented already on the Mac side. I don't know if the Mac version had the date bug, but just in case you're still not able to get Rev. Int. to work you might want to try that hack...

I can't figure out how to insert a screenshot here... (new to this). What I see upon right-clicking a word in NASB95 is a Lemma item which shows various lookup and search options and a listing of some resources, none of which is a reverse interlinear. Does the fact that I have a Lemma item on the right - by itself - indicate that I have the interlinear? Or should it show up in the list of resources?

Or should I just chill about this whole thing and wait for the full functionality?

Yes, the presence of the Lemma on the right is the result of that resource being a reverse interlinear.

Actually, the choices of Manuscript, Lemma, Morph, Strong's, and Louw-Nida Semantic Domains are all part of the Reverse Interlinear database for that resource.

Notice that you probably have these options in the menu for NASB95, ESV, NRSV, KJV, and NKJV but not the HSCB, NCV, NIV or TNIV among others.

In the NLT you should see these options in the menu on words in the New Testament but not the Old Testament.

When you do not see Lemmas in the right menu that means that there is no Reverse Interlinear information provided yet.

At some point in a future build, the Interlinear button will be enabled and the Reverse Interlinear information will be available to view at the bottom of resource pane.
