What Are The Best Books?

I am doing a study on discipleship and am wondering if there is a way in Logos to identify some of the best books on discipleship - best sellers, most frequently referenced etc? I can't seem to see anything but maybe someone here will have some tips.

Michael,
If you mean by 'in Logos' the Logos web site, I am not aware of a way to search the site like this. Amazon has a list of their top 100 best sellers for Christian Discipleship. Of course this sort of list is usually biased toward recent works, not necessarily best works. You could cross reference these to Logos to see what is available. As to what are the more cross referenced or referred to, I'd be interested in information like that, too. I doubt it exists.
You might want to ask the folks here what they believe are the best books on discipleship they have read or have in Logos.

If you've come up with a list of books on discipleship and want to find which among them are the most highly rated by Logos users, you can turn on community ratings.
If you have a relatively limited list of books on discipleship to look through to determine which are the best among them, and some of them have titles that are unique enough to only hit when they are found (not part of a common phrase or something), then you can search for a title in books.google.com to find out how many books (that have been digitized by Google, which is a ton of books) make reference to it. Still, that's quite a lot of work.
What you really need is a curated, ideally annotated, bibliography of books on discipleship. There is a Bibliography of Discipleship and Disciple-Making at the end of the syllabus for a course on discipleship ("Christian Education and Equipping: The Making of Maturing Disciples of Jesus") taught through Regent College's Distance Education program, and I would think that's a pretty highly selective list of some of the best resources available. You'd have to cross check these yourself to find out which ones are available from Logos: http://www2.regent-college.edu/cstudies_courses/syllabi/APPL522.pdf

I like:
Sanders, J. Oswald. Spiritual Discipleship: Principles of Following Christ for Every Believer. Chicago, IL: Moody Publishers, 2007.
Some of the examples are a bit dated but that gives it a classic quality.
The following also looks good:
Wright, N. T. (1994). Following Jesus: Biblical Reflections on Discipleship. London: Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge.

You may want to look at "Patterns of Discipleship in the New Testament" by Richard Longenecker

Logos Mobile Education has a Bundle that includes Discipling Course => https://www.logos.com/product/40741/logos-mobile-education-preaching-and-discipling-foundations-bundle#005
Search for Discipleship on Logos.com can be sorted by Bestselling => https://www.logos.com/products/search?q=Discipleship&start=&sort=bestselling&pageSize=15
Likewise can sort Vyrso search by Bestselling => https://vyrso.com/products/search?q=Discipleship&start=&sort=bestselling&pageSize=15
Caveat: Bestselling includes resources with Discipleship in description.
Logos Bestselling # 5 appears relevant => https://www.logos.com/product/18544/learn-to-study-the-bible
Another idea is searching Heading Text, Large Text, Title for Discipleship in Logos to find Articles:
Collection => https://www.logos.com/product/38421/adventsource-bible-study-collection has "Bible Study and Discipleship: Six Big Ideas for Bible Study and Discipleship Training." that is included in several Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) packages.
Some more resources to consider => https://www.logos.com/product/5421/how-to-read-the-bible-for-all-its-worth
Prayer => https://www.logos.com/product/6806/the-pastor-in-prayer and => https://www.logos.com/product/26681/400-prayers-for-preachers-with-slides

I've looked up the ones on that bibliography that Logos caries, and here are links for them:

Read the Pastorals. Everything Paul told Timothy really shows an intensive discipleship process.
All of the Pauline epistles have an active discipleship woven through them, but Paul is very personal with Timothy. His commands to Timothy are especially significant.

Thanks everyone for your posts. The information that you gave me is very good and greatly appreciated. I take a broad view of discipleship so to me what it means is everything that that is related to "following Jesus." Most of the popular speakers and authors (Charles Stanley, John McArthur, Francis Chan, etc.) write and speak on discipleship topics. When I search my library for "discipleship" I have over 100 hits. I have many other books that are not in Logos. The Bill Hull collection in Logos looks very good. He does have a one volume "The Complete Book of Discipleship" which is not in Logos yet. I will pick it up in kindle for now and then get it in Logos when it is available. It was listed as the number one book on Discipleship on a couple of lists that I found on the internet. Rosie, your suggestions are very helpful. It took some time for you to compile that list, very much appreciated. God bless, my friends.

You might search the store like this.
Searches for anything with discipleship in the sales description, and then sorts the results by "best selling".
You'll need to determine for your self whether the hits are relevant or not... but its a start.L2 lvl4 (...) WORDsearch, all the way through L10,

I've always liked the Master Plan of Evangelism by Robert Coleman. I purchased it when it was available in Vyrso, but it looks as though it no longer is there. Logos has a collection on prepub with it being one of the resources.
