Anyone Getting Odd Popups When Opening The Forum Home?

I got a garden-variety popup and closed it before I read it. Then a popup with audio (with a reference to Logos, but no Logos logo or other trademarks) came up and a woman's voice asked if I wanted to take a survey. I closed it.

I have other pages open (Sermon Audio, Google Play Music), so I could be from somewhere else.

Anyone else see something like this?

I'm not seeing this. Running Chrome on Windows 7. But I have Windows Pop-up Blocker enabled.

Are you using a pop-up blocker?

Yeah, I use Chrome, also. Sometimes when Chrome updates, it does things like remove the Home button, change the startup page, randomly changes other settings, changes my social security number, performs plastic surgery, etc.(all in the interest of a more immersive experience). But I don't think it is that problem this time.

I've also just noticed on my Forum profile page those double-underline link deals, which I once thought were site-specific.

Since no one else is reporting such, I'll assume it's my problem. I'll run a full scan while at church today to see if there's anything nefarious lurking. I'll also run a virus and malware check on my computer. [;)]

The virus/malware scan found no problems.

The only thing weird I did yesterday was to sign out of Chrome with my regular Google account and sign in with my mobile account to do some things with Google Music. Maybe that changed something with regard to popups.

After the scan,and after signing Chrome back into my regular Google account, when I signed back into the Forum, I was seeing those odd impromptu links appear again, so I assumed the issue was still there.

So, I did a System Restore to yesterday morning and it appears to be back to normal. It's still seems weird to me that the odd things were only happening on community.logos.com.

Another possible idea since you restored to a previous save. Reboot into safe mode (network) if you antivirus/malware software requires it. In safe mode perform the extensive scan of entire system. Run any other cleaner or virus program and scan again. Many major antivirus programs have a form of scrubber you can get and run, ie. Norton power eraser. run then while still in safe mode open chrome and check for any changes. especially and new extensions/add ons. Reboot and good luck.

Nope. Running Chrome on Win 7 with McAfee Antivir but no advanced popup-block or anything in place. Forum work as usual. I experience having patheos.com open sometimes gets intrusive (playing their - unrelated to visited content - ad videos aloud, wanting to install software).
