This isn't a complaint, but Logos needs to update their sales rep's catalog so they can better serve their customers. I called the other day asking for the Focus on the Bible commentaries by Ralph Davis in particular the one from Judges (though I now have all 6 by him), but the sales rep was telling me it only came as a bundle of 2 books which was the wrong volume he was talking about and even by the wrong author. I explain to him the one he was offering was not the right one and he started getting "frustrated" and just asked me to e-mail him the links of the volumes I wanted to make it easier. Anyway, I did email him the links and even called him to let him know I had done so, but I never got a response from him. Long story short, I called my regular sales rep once she was available and she offered me the 6 volumes I wanted with the available discount (great deal!).
On another occasion (just last week), I asked this other sales rep what my dynamic price was on the Encyclopedia of Christianity (5 vols.). I wanted to know because I already own the first 3 volumes. His response was, "The best price I can give you is $299," to which I asked, "Even though I own 3 volumes of the set?" And he had me on hold with no response on the chat feature for a few minutes (too many in my opinion) and he got back to me and said, "Nope, the best price is $299 and volume 5 is not out yet, but when it comes out it'll be $89.95 like volume 4." Obviously, something was missing on his side of the screen because I looked at volume 5 and IT IS available but I didn't want to waste my time arguing if he didn't feel like helping! So in my opinion, Logos needs to look into this, because maybe sales reps DO have a problem locating resources on their screen which makes it harder to find what we want to buy or some just don't want to be bothered sometimes looking for stuff because they might just be interested in big sales like base packages only...who knows!
