I have been using my Surface Pro 2 as my exclusive computer for over 6 months now. These are the 5 best things about my experience, which has been overwhelmingly positive.
1. Personal Books have become much more important to me now that I have them on my tablet. I am really, really, excited about some of the Personal Books I have made, and reading them on my Surface Pro 2 tablet is a.pleasure. Also, they are always with me.
2. Though Logos 5 is not optimized for touch, it runs great on the Surface Pro, and I have developed sort of a hybrid system of touch, wireless mouse, and stylus that I much prefer to a traditional desktop. If I have to use the traditional desktop or laptop, I now find it awkward and confining. (I keep reaching up to touch the screen on the desktop.) And Logos 5 runs faster on my Surface than it did on my overpriced laptop.
3. Did I mention that I take my whole, and I do mean whole, Logos library everywhere?
4. This might should be #1. Taking Logos notes by hand in OneNote is a joy, and it converts to text with just a little editing needed. Or, when attending a conference, having Logos Bible open, along with OneNote, and taking notes by hand, using the Logos Bible, and recording the lecture at the same time. When I tap on a note, the Surface plays back what the speaker was saying when I wrote that note. I am still amazed, and yes I know that is mostly OneNote, but it is the perfect companion to Logos on the Surface Pro.
5. Underlining with he stylus pen while I read / study.
I am sure the newer Surface Pro 3 is even better, but I am perfectly happy with my Surface Pro 2, and will not consider upgrading for at least another year or two. I don't have to have the newest and latest, especially when what I do have is more than satisfactory.
