Libronix 3 resources for netbook

Hello

I've looked thru the posts for how to download resources. I just reinstalled Libronix 3 on my HP mini and I need to download the resources. I've verified license information but I can't find where to start to download the entire data base. What I've found on the website is a download of recent updates. Any clues would be appreciated.

Libronix 3 (L3) normally picks up its licensed resources from "removable media" in the form of a DVD or CD.

Step 1 is to reinstall your licenses, which you can do from whatever means you used to back them up before your reinstall.

Step 2 is to reinstall your resources using one of the following methods:

Plan A is to feed your DVD or CD based resources to it using an external USB DVD drive.

Plan B would be "manually" download the resources you know you have licensed from the Logos web site (per the individual resource pages, links from your "Orders" page or individually directly from the FTP server). and place them directly in your resources folder.

Step 3 is to re-install all the additional files that came with each licensed resource set (these are on the individual resource set CDs and DVDs, or in some cases via the setup file linked to your "Order page" at Logos)

The update scripts you seem to be refering to scan the contents of your existing installed folders and update any out of date content they find there. They do not fill in the gaps by finding and installing resource files you do not yet have installed. Only the setup scripts on your orders page do that.

Thank you so much for your detailed response, I'm new to this.

What I did was copy the resources from the folder on my main computer into the resources folder on the netbook - logos - resources folder.

Works fine....duh

Now I'm ready for the next semester of Hebrew among other things.

Suggest you do two other things given you seem to be already properly setup on your main computer:

Copy across the contents of your "Program Files/Libronix DLS/Common" folder, and
Copy across the contents of your "My Documents/Libronix DLS" folders.

That way you would get most of the other files that you would otherwise miss out on.......

Just so you know, I run Logos4 well (a bit slow but really not much if at all slower than 3) on my Asus EeePC netbook. It has a 1.6GHz Atom processor. You may want to consider upgrading to 4 (Great introductory deals on upgrade packages until the end of January). Logos4 will automatically download your resources that you have licenses for.

Version 3 will require you either copying your resource folder from your other computer manually or inserting discs (if you have a cd/dvd drive).

Again, Logos4 will run and will download everything you have licenses for automatically
