Willem,
welcome to the Logos forums! Sorry to hear you have problems. What you decribe sounds a lot like a permission issue, you may want to check https://www.logos.com/support/logos5/windows/error-writing-to-file for tips or run the installer with "run as administrator". If all else fails, you may call Logos support.
Have joy in the Lord!

I was facing the same issue. The link provided is useful and insightful, however, I resolved the problem by installing the update with "Run as Administrator." You may want to try this solution before messing with the windows system.
1. Open your window's "start" bar.
2. Type in "Logos" and your Logos folder should pop up among the selections.
3. Click the right mouse button and click "Run as Administrator."
When I tried this it took me directly to the update screen and asked if I wanted to run the latest update. I clicked "yes" and this time it went through without an issue. Hope this helps.

Hi Joe - and welcome to the forums.
And thanks for sharing your experiences.
However, as Mark Barnes points out at http://community.logos.com/forums/p/73680/513893.aspx#513893 - its probably best to try and work out what is going on otherwise it will be necessary to "run as admin" everytime an update is required.
