Why all these releases in 8/6/14? I'm forced to cancel some of my orders.
Yes, they are doing very well. They've stated their goal is to release 10,000 new resources a year, and if they're going to accomplish that goal that means they will sometimes have to release a lot of them on the same day. We can no longer expect to be able to afford everything they produce when it comes ready to roll off the production line; that's just the downside of a growing company.
Wow, I just went back to check mine and I agree with you. My projected list of 4 books just jumped to 13 between 8/6 and 8/8. I have no choice but to do the same, cancel several I was looking forward to. [:'(]
As a suggestion, Why not call them and ask for them to offer alternatives so they don't loose the sale?
The sales staff are always helpful they can't give you the pre-pub price but can give you options.

Why do they need to make a lot of sales on 08/06/14. Now we're told they are changing the company's name. Hope it's for goooood.
Every year Logos seems to get several major releases ready to go on about the same date. They probably would have made a lot more sales if they were not all shipping on that day/month, but Logos tends to release everything as soon as it is ready... Why so many major releases are being completed that day is anyones guess but it is good to have them released, even if many people like myself had to make decisions on which ones needed to be culled to avoid too much expense at once. As Rosie stated above with Logos' (now Faithlife's) goal to release 10,000 new tittles a year we are going to often have these days with massive amounts of releases.

Bob Pritchett (Logos CEO) has said they aim to release 10,000 new books in 2014. If they spaced them out equally they will release 192 books each week. Maybe you just got lucky on choosing the right Pre-Pubs.
Hope it's for goooood.
A few years back Logos had a 2010 books for $2010 sale. Some wondered if Logos was strapped for cash. What was questioned by some as a desperate move was really just another bold move by a company on the move to bigger and better things. I don't think we need to worry.
