BUG in reference box?

1. Open the NRSV

2. Type Matt 7 and the system offers Matt 7:1-29 i.e. the whole chapter (the least likely unit for me personally to want). It does not offer Matt 7:1-5, the pericope which is a likely choice.

3. When I enter Matt 7:1- Logos shows me only Matthew 7:1, again not the pericope that starts at verse 1, but if I hit enter I get the whole chapter Matt 7:1-29 although it is neither shown nor is it what I want. What I would expect is to see two or three options in the drop down:

• Matt 7:1 (single verse)
• Matt 7:1-5 (pericope beginning at Matt 7:1)
• Matt 7:1-29 (full chapter since it appeared with the shorter reference and is what is used as the default)

Just adding that this is not confined to the NRSV, the same thing happens in NIV and ESV (the only other ones I checked)

And interesting that what you are asking for is provided in:

• the "Go" box on the homepage
• the reference box for Text Comparison
• the reference box in Passage Guides
• ... probably others
