Aramaic searching for Clause Search?

I was doing Clause Search and could not find a way to search for Aramaic lemma.

When I type verb-lemma:, it shows only Hebrew lemma. Is there a way to search for Aramaic words?

I use the Lexham Hebrew Bible for searching. This is the only Old Testament Bible I can use for Clause Search. Is there other resource I can use to search for Aramaic words?

Or there is no one available right now?

This is a shortcoming but I can get results in Aramaic passages only with verb:to eat, feed on, feed; (metaph.) to devastate, whilst verb:to eat, to feed gives Hebrew results. Quite how one is supposed to distinguish Hebrew/Aramaic between these varieties of "eat", as stated, I don't know. But why they are even distinguished in this manner is beyond me, when I'm simply looking for all occurrences of "to eat".

Dave, you got further than me. I went through Daniel 7 and didn't hit on anything. Maybe no one ate in Daniel 7.

Anyway Martin, the next alternative is to go to your LHB in the aramaic sections, and then right-click a verb (or any other) of choice, for a search-this-resource using the lemma (aramaic). That's the easy way.

You brought up a very interesting thing. It seems that we can search for the Aramaic words using the English definition. Try also verb:to cut down, you will find Job 19:26; Isa 10:34, Dan 4:11, 20.

But how do we know its Aramaic definition Logos uses for Clause Search? If we know which lexicon it uses, we may try a round way, that is, to find the English definition for a certain Aramaic verb first, then search search for something like verb:to cut down.

The search verb:to eat, feed on, feed; (metaph.) to devastate brings up only the Aramaic text, which leads us to guess that the definition Logos suggests is linked to a certain Hebrew or Aramaic verb, in this case, the Aramaic verb אֲכַל.

But, if we search for verb:to cut down.we see both Hebrew and Aramaic text, as is shown above. Is this definiton linked to both Hebrew and Aramaic verb? Usually the Hebrew and Aramaic texts are treated separately. How did Logos come up with that?

Hi Denise, see my screeshot for the word "to eat" appears in the Aramaic text.

I should have explained clearly.

The reason I want to do Clause search is that, I want to search for something like: subject:God verb-(Aramaic)lemma: מלך(to reign/to rule ). This cannot be done with a single search on only one Aramaic verb.

The lemmas are quite different, so I can only wonder with you! The immediate solution would be to provide an Aramaic form of verb:lemma.
