Thank you. It is nice to see a number of small bugs get fixed.

Implemented a fix that should make it less likely to crash with an OutOfMemory exception when running a Passage Guide on “Gen-Rev” with a large library.WOW! Thanks Bradley and dev team, I got a result back on this, it finished perfectly! Very nice and professional [:D]

Out of curiosity Don, how long did it take? And if you don't mind, what are the specs of your computer?

It was pretty fast - I didn't time it, but I would say a minute or less. I created a custom Passage Guide of just Sermons, closed it, then opened it and ran Gen-Rev.
I have a little over 19,000 resources, it will rebuild the index in about 3 hours 5 minutes if nothing else going on.

I thought you did a regular passage guide on the entire Bible.
Like the specs of your computer. How do you get two sata in a notebook? It is a notebook right?

A number of 17" laptop models have two internal drives. Some 17" laptops also have mSata so could have three SSD's in one laptop. Caveat: some 17" models have a bay for a second drive, but do not have the SATA connector.

Question (and observation): Has something occurred with the speaker labels? I can't quite put it together yet, but something is not working correctly. Please take a look at this and inform if it is normal.

Can you suggest a passage or post a picture re: speakers' labels to help me see what you're asking about?

In Luke 2:10 AngelOfLord is one word. There is a # before the word angel. Cannot remember if it was always this way.
In Daniel 10:19, there is the number 157 after the word angel.

All throughout the OT and NT and does not depend on translation (I compared several english translations). Anywhere the megaphone symbol appears. Lynden explains it good. I couldn't post a picture because once I move the mouse away, the issue can't be seen.

It was not always this way. The issue occurred with this beta update. Thanks for wording this for me.

Apologies: unable to replicate using Logos 5.2b Beta 6 on Windows 7
Clicking on megaphone opens Bible Facts.
For screen capture in Windows, hovered mouse over megaphone, then used shift+PrntScr to capture image on screen to clipboard. Pasted image into Paint followed by using Snipping Tool to capture part of image for forum posting.

I can't reproduce this. It's possible your system needs to download an updated Biblical People database. If there are updates pending, please restart. (Or check for updates manually, if you have configured your system not to do that automatically.)
Then, in Help > About Logos Bible Software, what is listed under "Bible Facts" for DB:BIBLICAL-PEOPLE? It should display:
DB:BIBLICAL-PEOPLE

Here is mine. I don't seem to have the DB listed.

My graphic didn't show once posted, but mine is the same as MJ's with the exception of my Logos 5 program, which is Logos Bible Software 5.2b Beta 6 (5.2.2.0060) .

Thanks KS, sometimes the simpler tools (as you listed) is more functional than others. I have to begin using these more often.

Update now brought a new timeline down.
I'm still unable to reproduce this here. Can you try running "update resources"?
(Attaching your log files from the result of doing that may provide useful information for us to diagnose the problem.)

Manually performing "Update Resources" resulted in an additional update of ~130MB with additional databases. This corrected the issue. Thanks

"Update resources" found Biblical People, Places, and Things databases, and problem is now fixed. For some reason these did not come down with the Universal Timeline Database when Beta 6 first started up.

This corrected mine also.

Should updating to this version have caused my Logos to need to do a first time index?

No. Maybe something was being indexed when you updates. As far as I know, Biblical People, Places, Things need to be indexed and are supposed to update with this index. If that is so, you would suffer an index crash, thus forcing the reindex of the entire library.

It did on my Netbook, however, not on my Desktop. At the time, I was more concerned about the speaker label issue, so I just let my Netbook run overnight. It's now at 98% (almost done), so no sense in troubleshooting it this time. [:)]

That sounds logical to me.

No; if updating to a new version of the software will force a reindex, we will indicate that clearly in the release notes. (I don't think this has happened since maybe 4.2b.)
An unexpected "first time index" is caused by index corruption; your LogosError.log or LogosIndexerError.log files may indicate the underlying problem.

Same here. I even had other resource updates download after the beta 6 install, but it took the Update Resources command to fix the missing DBs.

Except that databases like Biblical People, Places, Things are not indexed, and just require resource discovery which is performed by the Indexer.

Thanks Dave; That's good to know. Now whether I retain this information is another story. [:)]
