export library book list

hi there

i have logos 5 and i would like to have an electronic version of my library books so that I will check it before I buy any books without launching the program.

is there any ways I can export my library books in any format?

I will be so thankful if you could help me.

Welcome to the forums Mohammad. Additionally, if you are signed into the website using the same password and email address that you use for the software, the item is greyed out if you own it. The exception to this are books contained in bundles that have not been broken up.

with your help I have managed to export the book lists as a file.

but it is sorted by author names rather than the book's names. Is there any way I will be able to export it with book's names?

it seems i do not have excel option in the print/export menu. i word, text, xps, html and other formats but not xls(x). Could i add this option in the setting?

I don't believe Excel is an option in this export menu - it is in others within Logos

If you export to html you can read this in Excel - but, unforunately, this doesn't provide you with what you are looking for as it seems that the export (into whatever form) is done as a single text string which means you would need to do quite a bit of manipulation to be able to "extract" the book title and sort on that.

I can think of two options to provide what you are looking for.

Create a "Collection" of all your resources and export this to a Word document. This is sorted in book order. There is an example of how to setup such a collection at https://wiki.logos.com/Bibliography (it was written for Logos 4 but the principles still apply
Look at the Logos Library Reporter - a tool developed by Steve Clark, one of our forum members. This is available at http://l4libreport.clark-tx.net/index.htm?doc=ver# and one of the sample reports (http://l4libreport.clark-tx.net/index.htm?doc=ver#FullReport1) seems to provide what you are looking for
