Matthew Henry's Commentaries: Which one is better for you?

Several customers have asked what the difference is between Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary on the Bible and Matthew Henry's Commentary on the Bible. They are two completely different (but equally valuable!) resources.

Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary on the Bible is accessible for nonspecialists or people who don't have a biblical studies background. It's comprehensive without being exhaustive. If you're a layman who is just looking for a deeper understanding of the specific text, this commentary is for you.

Matthew Henry's Commentary on the Bible is more academic. If you're studying the text or preparing a sermon and need cross-references, this commentary has all of that. It also includes prefatory material written by Matthew Henry.

I enjoy both of them, but for the past few years, I generally will go to the "Matthew Henry's Commentary on the Bible" (when I do read Mathew Henry's).

Interesting that the 6 volume set (condensed into 1 volume in Logos) costs less than the concise.
