Signing on working?

I am using Mac 5.2B6. I am trying to log on to a new account - on Windows you hold the Control key and it gives you the sign on window. On the Mac, it says holding down the command key does the same thing. When I hold down the command key and start Verbum, it brings up Finder to the Applications folder - I try click on Verbum there with the command key down, it does nothing.

How is this done on a Mac?

Assuming you have a two-button mouse, you can hold Command and right-click, then select Open. If you have a one-button mouse, hold both Control and Command, click, then select Open.

Be sure to keep holding Control until the Sign In prompt appears. I've made that mistake several times. [:)]
