Flash Cards with Word List-All Hebrew Text

Does anyone know how I can select all Hebrew text in LHB in Logos 5 so that I can generate flashcards by frequency? It seems that the word list program is only allowing me to create flashcards by passage, whereas I want to create cards for all of the Hebrew portions of the Bible. Thank you.

Hello Matthew:
I hope that the following will be helpful. There are two apps that I use that are quite excellent for this sort of thing.
1. The first one is called Bible Vocab and it permits you to enter as little as one verse or multiple verses. For instance, you may put begin and end with Genesis 1:1 or begin with Genesis 1:1 and end with 1:9. Or you could combine verses from Genesis and Isaiah and Job. Then you can view the vocabulary and be tested for each one of the words such as שׁמים, ברא, and so on. The fonts are large and beautiful and if I remember correctly, I set up my preferred font.
2. The second app is called Flashcards. Not as elegant in terms of fonts, or how attractive it is. You are stuck with the basic iPhone font for Hebrew rather than the BHS fonts. But the nice advantage is that you can download vocabulary from fellow contributors such as words that appear over 1,000 x in the Hebrew Bible, or other frequencies as desired. Or, you can create your own vocabulary. I do some of each. Either way, you can correct the pre-prepared cards or your own cards with additional notes, your own vocabulary definitions, etc.. It is great to practice reading pointed as well as unpointed text.
3. Other great apps include HebrewFlash, Shinun, and others. Anyone interested in Hebrew app recommendations can write to me at bielikov at yahoo dot com.
Very best, Gregorio

Matthew, welcome to the forum!
I don't know any reason why you shouldn't be able to do that in LHB (or BHS).
On the other hand, it may well be that the Word List you look for already exists (there are XLS format lists for Libronix on https://www.logos.com/training/vocabularylists tied into various Hebrew Grammars, which will surely cover the most frequent words) - I expect people have build L5-WordList documents and shared them in Faithlife Groups, but unfortunately I'm not into Hebrew at all and have no direct link to one of those.
Maybe some Hebrew expert drops by...

Gregorio,
I may have read Matthew wrong, but I understood he wanted to use the Logos-provided free Flashcard program that seamlessly integrates into the L5 environment by building on the Word Lists that are generated in L5. Thus once there's a Word List you can drill it with the Flashcards - his issue was that somehow he couldn't build the Hebrew list for all OT words. Any experience with that?

Thank you for your help. I found the solution, and it was user error rather than software problems. I entered Genesis-Chronicles rather than Genesis-2 Chronicles. I forgot that Logos keeps the division between the two books.

Glad to hear it works now for you!

Very interesting. How do I use Logos to create flash cards?

You use Logos to create Word Lists (e.g. from a range of passages) which you may sort, edit & so on.
You may view them in card mode in L5 if you wish or print them out on paper.
However, the free Andoid app Logos provides will show them for learning (including the audio pronunciation).

Mick, thanks so much! From Documents I was able to go to Untitled Passage List, where I can begin to memorize a verse. Pretty nice. But I do not see how to get to the a place where I can create a word list. Does this work with the Hebrew Scriptures as well as the New Testament?

Yes it does - you start from here:

Excellent! I found and opened the word list. I am not dragging the column properly, as it begins a brand new column, rather than interact with my word list. Thanks for your patience.
