How To Pull Multiple Sections Into a Single Clipping

In the following screen shot, you can see a couple of paragraphs of text around a box with tertiary information. I want the surrounding paragraphs in a single clipping, but do not want the color box and info. To highlight the text I want to clip, I've tried various combinations of Ctrl and Shift to no avail.
Is the only way to construct this clipping to copy all the info, including the unwanted section to a clipping, then go in and delete the unwanted text box (which isn't simple)? Or is there an easier way that I'm missing?

It's best to clip the whole and then remove the unwanted text from the box. If you clip the text at the top you then have to copy and paste the text at the bottom, and there is more editing to perform, including font/font size.

It sure would be helpful if Logos could activate the Windows-standard Ctrl key to highlight multiple sections for clipping.
