Bible Verse Notation Guide?

Does anyone have a guide to understand the meaning of verse notation like the following: ff, cf, w, v.15, v v.18, and so on.

I am editing a pdf book old testament survey. but i don't understand the meaning of many notation forms.

Is there a guide for this?
