I have a large passage list with about 10 translations and when I try to export it it eventually crashes.

It's a Mac related error, so you will have to reduce the number of translations until a fix is available.
In Windows, I have one PL with 9 translations and 436 passages which eventually displayed as requiring 298 pages and was exported to a Rich Text file.
