Returning to notes document doesn't maintain position

I was using my ipad when preaching earlier.

I have the app in split-screen mode with a bible passage in one section and a notes document in the other.

on this occasion I had the third note in the notes document visible

i wanted to run a text comparison on a verse in the passage - this opened up over the notes document as expected.

when I pressed the back button in the TC menu, the displayed reverted back to the notes document but at the beginning of the first note not the third. This resulted in me losing my place in my sermon notes.

Can position in the notes document be maintained in this scenario?
