Question about "Set Update Channel"

I was out of town, and when I got back started catching up on threads. I thought there might be later 5.2b RC than I had, so I did a check for updates and there were none, so then I thought maybe it came out on the default channel, so I did a Set Update Channel to default and there was none - so thinking we might still be in the beta for 5.2b, I did a Set Update channel to beta - and I downloaded an update. Thankfully I did NOT restart with it, because then I read that 5.3 beta is coming out and it could be a little unstable as beta 1! Yikes! So I did a Set Update Channel to Default, and it again said there was no update, but there is still an yellow exclamation circle saying I have a download to install. I also have an icon in the systray saying an update is to be installed.
If I restart now, will I be on Default (non-beta channel) or will that update install, and if so how do I prevent it - is there a folder to delete or something?
thanks!

The beta release for 5.3 hasn't shipped yet so that shouldn't be a problem.

There was a new RC (5.2b RC2) made available on 7 August and I expect this is what downloaded when you set your update channel to beta. Details are available at http://community.logos.com/forums/t/87651.aspx. This is build 5.2.2.0062 so I suggest you check your version against that and I expect you will see yours is earlier.
I think - but am not 100% positive - that when you start Logos you should be given an option to apply the upgrade or not.
