Android Suite 4.3.6 Stable Release

The Android team is pleased to announce the 4.3.6 stable release of the Bible, Biblia, FSB, Verbum, Vyrso and Noet apps.  The apps should be available soon in the Google Play and Amazon Stores.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This release still supports Android 2.3.x and Android 3.x. As mentioned in a previous thread, support for these versions of Android will be ending very soon.

If you discover any issues please create a new post and include the following info:

  • Description – How were you using the app when the problem occurred.
  • App Info – Which app you are using. (Bible, Biblia, Faithlife Study Bible, Noet, Verbum or Vyrso)
  • Device Info – (Nexus 7, Motorola Triumph, Droid Bionic, Kindle Fire (1st gen))
  • Android Version – (2.3, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4)

  • Audio links in media resources can be played using the audio controls (double tap the link to activate)
  • Added option to purchase an unowned Bible if it is set as the preferred Bible

Improved

  • Greatly improved quality and reliability of read-along audio resources
  • Updated styling of audio controls
  • Themed audio controls for low-light mode

Fixed

  • Several potential crashes when playing audio with poor network connectivity
  • Audio failed to resume after being interrupted by a notification sound
  • Crash when opening a media resource with a poor network connection
  • Crash when any of the default devotional resources are “hidden” using Logos Desktop
  • Various reported crashes

Known Issues

  • Audio tracks in non-read-along media resources cannot be downloaded for offline use
