Adjusting Reading Plan

Hi,

I am using Logos 4 and I am ahead in my bible reading plan. I know when you are behind you can adjust the date to let you be in sync. But how do you adjust the date when you are ahead? I ask because I keep having to scroll down to where I am now, since the program keeps thinking I should be some weeks back. I checked all the boxes to indicate I have already read the previous passages, but it still brings me back to where it thinks I should be. I did click on "edit" and attempted the "adjust from here", to no avail. Can any one help? Thank you very much for any assistance you may provide on this matter. Bests, C

Hi Claudia - and welcome to the forums

I don't think there is any mechanism to adjust reading plans when you are ahead.

But I don't quite understand the problem you are having.

Where are you "scrolling down to where you are now" and what is "bringing you back to where it thinks it should be"?

If you access Reading Plans from the homepage it should show you the next entry to be read even if it is weeks in advance.

PS: Any reason you haven't upgraded to Logos 5? The free core engine is available at https://www.logos.com/install

Hi thank you Graham for the quick response! What I meant was that it is not giving me where I left off. When I go in, it automatically takes me back a few months to where it thinks I should be, since it says "Today". So I am reading Isaiah, but it takes me back to Exodus, even though I have checked off that I had already completed reading Exodus. So I then I always have scroll to Isaiah to be able to continue reading. It's a bit of a nuisance, but not the end of the world. I thought I had to pay to get Logos 5. That I cannot do at this point. It it's an update, great, but otherwise not right now. Thanks for the response nevertheless. Cheers, Claudia

    HI Claudia

    Thanks for the response.

Still not quite sure of what you are seeing. I forget exactly how Reading Plan information is displayed on Logos 4 but in Logos 5 the "next entry" is shown at the top of the entry on the Home Page irrrespective of whether you are behind or ahead. Can you post a screenshot of what you are seeing on your homepage?

The link I provided above is to the free core engine upgrade to Logos 5. It provides some new features and a lot of bug fixes. If you wanted extra databases and resources it would be chargeable but the engine itself is completely free.
