Metadata quite consistent between computers

Is there a way to get a refresh of metadata?
I am seeing quite a few problems as I look through my Library. It started with me noticing I Had a difference of 1 resource between 2 computers, and by doing edition:Logos it seemed to be there.
But then I did edition:Logos AND type:Monograph and the difference was 3.
I did a little more search, doing things with the pub date, and I found 1 resource that had an Electronic date of blank, and on another computer it was 2013.
On one computer the Electronic Date is blank on 109 resources, but on the other computer that I suspect, there are 278 with a blank Electronic date!
The one computer has 636 resources with a blank Publication date, the other has 404 with blank date!
The one computer has 11 with blank Language, the other has 5 with blank language.
I don't trust any of this metadata, how do I refresh it and why is it so messed up?
Thanks

I forgot to mention, I used a utility to compare the two Resources folders and they are IDENTICAL.

Two of the metadata that are different -
Early Church Fathers Overview, Roman Catholic Edition is English on one, blank on another
Baker Digital Reference Library Overview Guide is English on one, blank on another
versions are identical from looking at the 'i' pane.

You can get a report of various differences between installations with Steve's Library Reporter (Windows). I reported some in July but haven't received a satisfactory response for different authors, publishers and dates published i.e these things happen and a fresh install will fix them!

To clarify this statement, it is not advice to perform a fresh installation to fix metadata problems because I regard that as unsatisfactory when it is an issue for Logos to fix (and on a personal basis if necessary).
