When there are updates to download, it would be nice if it said how big the updates are prior to selecting "Download now". This would help those of us on metered bandwidth to know if we can go ahead and download or have to wait on it.

    Bret,

    Welcome to the forums.

Your request is something many people have asked for in the past. So far, without avail. Mind you, when a download starts it usually(always?) indicates how big it is  and you can cancel the download right away without ill-effect.

    Every blessing

You can also set it so that downloads only occur when you want them to. This way next time you're at your school, the coffee house, mcdonalds or anyplace that offers free wifi, you can simply download the updates then.
