The hymn of the day is primarily a Lutheran tradition but I've run into Baptist and Methodist versions and would expect to be able to find it elsewhere. It uses a liturgical calendar (like the lectionary) and should be part of a broader implementation of a hymn datatype. It should go on the homepage sidebar along with lectionary and saints.
