LOGOS 5 using external HD on Macbook Air 2013

I've run out of room. Can I run this on an external HD. I have a 1TB that's nearly empty!

I don't think so. Logos for Mac doesn't allow for customized installations... you would have to have a user account on an external drive. Do you have other material that you can migrate to an external HD?

If migration is possible you will usually experience poorer performance on an external HD. So it's preferable to move your collection of photos, image files, sound files, etc. to the external drive and/or remove temporary files and unused applications from the main drive.

The question that pops into my mind is what has gobbled up all your room on your drive?
I used to run Logos 4 and then 5 on an 80GB Mac Mini. I currently have Logos 5 on an Ultrabook with 128GB SSD My Logos library is huge Portfolio ++ and there's still plenty of room.
It's real easy to fill up a drive with videos, MP3/4 audio music and lectures, and high resolution pictures. Also lots of useless programs. Still you can have a whole semester of lectures with no problem.
If Logos is your go to must have software, move your secondary files to a good USB flashdrive if you want them handy.
A disk drive is like your desk. What you use every day can be on it. All the other stuff goes in the file cabinet (external drive).

Technically Yes; thread => Install on SSD has relevant discussion.
Caveat: internal SSD is noticeably faster for using Logos than external HD.

We don't technically support installation to external drives. "External" as defined as a drive not being housed within the machine's casing. Because of how OS X' file system works, and where Logos installs (the user directory), there isn't anyway to manually install Logos 5's folder structure wherever one wants.
