New International Commentary Ever Go On Sale?

I have finally saved enough to buy the New International Commentary (New Testament).

I know that none of us can predict what will be on sale when, but am curious if anyone has ever bought/noticed this resource on sale before? I don't mind waiting through the end of the year to buy it if there is a chance that I can get a good sale price but if the chances are slim to none, I would prefer to buy sooner than later. Thanks.

Most items go on sale from time to time. Frequency and discount varies.

NICOT/NT does go on sale occasionally.

I was unable to buy it when it was in pre-pub. I watched it on sale a couple of times before I pulled the trigger, realizing that the sale price at the time was as good as it was going to get.

I have maintained a wishlist of titles that I would buy when they were offered at a very good sale price. My patience has been rewarded in most cases.

When a title is on sale and you wonder how the price compares, you can always ask forum members for input.

IVP Essentials Collection and ISBE are currently on sale at good prices.

You can also check with a salesman for input on what the best price is that they have available.

Logos also has some great "add-ons" when upgrading base pkgs. I took advantage of those when I upgraded to L5.

You can also call sales, they will often give you a better price than the Internet price, sometimes even giving you the original Pre-pub price. I know it is easier just to "click", but calling can save you money!

Thanks Edwin and Keith. My salesperson is aware that I am planning to buy this resource but has not offered me any discounts. I have been emailing him to apply credits to my account for the last few months and have told him of the reason a few times.

Maybe email simply isn't the best way and a personal phone call might be in order.

It is encouraging to know that it occasionally goes on sale. I had never noticed it before (I usually skim over the more expensive sales with little attention) If need be, I will wait until the holiday sales to see if it comes up. I'm in no rush since I have done without it this long. [:)]

I acquired the New and Old testament a couple years ago for $600 less than it's being offered at this moment. I don't remember if it was on sale but it had to be.

I don't remember if it was on sale Rick, I got this product and ICC at the same time. If I remember correctly I think it was on sale and it's why I got it as I was only after the ICC but this one I think was on sale but I know it was not in prepub. It was in August two years ago.

It was on sale I think two years ago for the "back to school" sale for basically $1000. I purchased it then. So it does go on sale, just not that often.

If I remember rights $1000 was the prepub price and I don't think it's been lower than this. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

$1000 is the cheapest I have ever seen but I don't know about academic pricing.

I show the reg cost at $879.95 But my Academic discount got it to $789.95

I'm sorry i know sometimes the resource we want is more than what our pocket book has.

The NICOT/NT is much more than I have atm also, even with the academic discount.

I think the best you can do is call sales and see what they can do for you, I wish a good price for you.

P.S. Rick if you have been e-mailing your sales person for months about this one item and he/she has not offered any type of advice/discount I would maybe try a new salesperson.
