What is the name of the resource? I was not aware Logos offered such a resource.
I'm guessing the resource is "That's Easy for You to Say: Your Quick Guide to Pronouncing Bible Names"
There are a couple issues here:
1) The audio links in the resource are currently broken. The resource links to audio files with ALLCAPS names, but the actual audio files on the server are in lowercase. This can be fixed with an update to the resource, and I've notified the Content Production team of the issue.
2) Android does not currently support the audio links used by this resource. I made a case for that to be fixed, but I can't give an estimate on when it will be completed.

I have this resource and entries are in bold but not ALLCAPS. For example: Aaron EHR uhn, ER’n
WordSearch has offered this book with audio for years, I have repeated suggested that audio be added. As a pastor I am often asked how to pronounce something from the Bible. I think this would be a really boom to the average layperson. I hope you are correct that there are audio files.
Yes, the entries are in bold...I was referring to the underlying links to the audio files on the server, which are not visible in the resource. Clicking on the audio link for Aaron goes to "AARON.mp3" instead of "aaron.mp3".
There are definitely audio files. Like I said, once these two issues are resolved, the audio links will work in this resource on Android. On iOS, the links should start working after issue #1 is resolved, since iOS already supports that type of audio link.
Whoa, I didn't know there was audio for this resource! I actually keep a shortcut to this resource up on my menu bar.
Apparently there were some issues with releasing an update to this resource several months ago and then it fell through the cracks and the issues were never resolved. Mobile was using a newer version than Desktop, so audio links appear on Mobile but not Desktop. The Content Production team is working on this now and I'm expecting an update in the near future that brings all platforms up to the latest version.
Thanks Drew. This is good news indeed. I know my father for one will be overjoyed. He has WordSearch on his computer for this one book alone! Now he can go 100% Logos!
Hi
Drew Hannay
The That's Easy for You to Say: Your Quick Guide to Pronouncing Bible Names
Has been updated the links are not working,
Should thay be working with the latest update?
Mick
Last update was June 1, 2014, NOT today. The links are not working. Even if the file was updated so it would work on the desktop and iOS it would not work on Android. The Android does not support audio yet.
Looks like the iOS file was updated![:D]
What gives with the desktop?
It looks like the audio links are indeed working on iOS now. Not sure what's up with Desktop...you might have better luck starting a new thread in the Logos 5 forum asking about this.
The Android does not support audio yet.
To clarify, Android DOES support audio, but this resource uses a less common type of link for playing the audio and Android doesn't (yet) support that link type.
The next Android beta (coming hopefully this afternoon) will include support for the audio links in the "That's Easy for You to Say" resource. [:)]
Problem: My Amzn Fire HD does not have this resource available. Should it?
Do you own the resource? The product page is here: https://www.logos.com/product/7299/thats-easy-for-you-to-say-your-quick-guide-to-pronouncing-bible-names-3rd-ed
Yes I do and it appears on my iphone with audio functional but not on my Fire [*-)]

Then yes, it should definitely be showing up in your Android library as well. Perhaps a silly question, but are you sure you're signed into the same account?
I only have one account. I hope I don't have to remove the app and reload, that's a major pain!
Ah, I bet I know the problem. Android currently doesn't support searching for resources with apostrophes in the title....so if you search for "That's easy for you to say" you'll get no results, but if you search for "easy for you to say" you should find it.
Bingo! Thanks [:)]
Bingo! Thanks
Awesome! Yeah, sorry...that searching bug is a bit of a pain. We have a case for fixing it.
I have this resource also.I do not currently see how the audio functions on the android version. The only audio I see on the desk top is read aloud. Is this all there is to this resource for the audio?
There are speaker images in the resource and tapping them should play the audio pronunciation. This is not yet available, but will be available in beta later this afternoon.

Drew,
Not yet working on Android. Any word when it will go live?
Just checked it on the recent beta - version 4.4.2 (builde 324) - and it seems to work.
What version are you running?

Running 4.3.8 (build 286). Thanks, will update.
Update 4.3.8 (build 286) is most current offered on my device. How do I proceed?
Never mind Graham, figured it out. You must type beta in the space for Version mine was for the stable version. Thanks. It's taking a little longer than I assumed it would though to load.
I'm getting an Error message: XApp not installed An existing package by the same name with a conflicting signature is already installed. How can I refresh and install beta version, stable version still showing as existing version? Audio still does not work.
Did you install the existing stable version from the Google Play store? If so, and you wish to use the beta version, please follow the instructions here to become a member of the beta tester group - this is the recommended method.
Alternatively, you can delete the existing stable app and use the direct download URL from Logos or simply install the 4.4.2 beta version of another app (say, Vyrso or FSB)... that way you can keep the stable version of Logos and still use the audio feature of the 4.4.2 beta.
I forgot to ask earlier - are you running a Kindle device?
simply install the 4.4.2 beta version of another app (say, Vyrso
Thanks Kevin, the above is the option I elected and it works nicely.
