Anglican Diamond - Dynamic Pricing from Platinum

I'm curious as to why Anglican Diamond does not show up with the dynamic pricing even though I own Platinum base package. I see there is overlap in resources, but do not see the dynamic pricing, unless I'm misunderstanding something.

I am new to Logos so I could be doing something wrong, but I am sure that I am logged in as myself and I am selecting the Diamond base package and it list "dynamic pricing" on the product page, but the price is not reflecting the dynamic pricing.

I own Platinum from the regular base package (no package family), not the Anglican...but I see some overlap in resources, but the price appears to be exactly the same price for "Diamond" of any package family.

So you are saying that the Custom Discount line of the comparison page is 0.00 all the way across for all denominations?

Logos thinks of me as a Verbum customer although I own a generic base package from "the old days" ... but if I take SDA for which I own no package I get a Custom Discount all the way across:

I show a discount, but it basically ends up being the same price for "Diamond" of all package families ($2,414.96), which is odd. If the Diamond packages take in to account the resources I already own how can it just so happen that the price it gives me is the same for all Diamond packages regardless of package family.

It occurs to me that if you look at the comparison for the default Logos 5 package for which you have Platinum, if that page also shows no custom discount then you clearly are not signed in under the right user name.

I am signed in and it is showing a discount; HOWEVER, I think what may be going on is Logos sets up the "dynamic pricing" to be a price where they want you to pay if you're coming from another package...that's the only explanation that seems to make sense granted that all the "Diamond" packages are giving me the same price to the penny when I search for "Diamond." Gives the impression that some times the "dynamic pricing" can be interpreted as a "rigged game" though, admittedly, I could be missing something as I am a relatively new Logos user.

That is completely NOT the algorithm used ... you'll force me to bring out Fallacy Hound [;)] Dynamic pricing is based upon what you paid for a resource with some complicated quirks to adjust for things being in or out of packages and bundles.

You would get the results you see if the only purchases that enter into the discount are common elements to all packages. If your base package is quite old and you've only added minimal upgrades for datasets, this would be quite plausible. The discount you see IS dynamic pricing. Sorry it took me so long to understand all that was wrong was one of your assumptions.

I'm a new Logos user as of < 30 days so my package is current...I'm just finding it very hard to believe that the dynamic pricing would just so happen to make all available "Diamond" packages from different package families (which would mean different resources) would result in the same price to the penny.

However, I'll assume the most charitable position I can at this point...it just does seem to be odd. Thanks for taking time to try help a Logos newbie along. [:)]

Would you PLEASE provide a screenshot. You are apparently using a different currency than I assumed. The price you quote after the discount is more than the original cost of the product without a discount. I need a screenshot to be of any further help.

It's possible that Logos has configured the packages so they work that way. For example, if Logos has constructed all the Diamond packages so that there's 30% overlap with standard Platinum, and 70% new material then that's what you'd expect to see. Perhaps that was a deliberate design intention, to make it easier for people to switch to/from standard/denominational packages. I'd certainly expect there to be some policy which says "These resources MUST be in every Diamond base package", which covers datasets, many English Bibles, some original language tools, and so on. Perhaps they've done that more precisely than we imagined.

(I don't know if that Logos has done. I'm just suggesting that if they had, that would explain what you're seeing.)

Here's what I see when I search for "Diamond" packages. The regular "Diamond" package allows me to select custom upgrade afterwards, but "Anglican Diamond" does not give me an option.

From the screenshot I guess Jeff simply gets a 30% Academic Discount factored in (the same search shows $3450 for me for all of them), which seems to work even at this high-level search wheras dynamic pricing only kicks in at a lower level, such as looking at a specific base package or the comparison page.

Search results don't show dynamic pricing. At least I haven't seen where that happens.
