Question about my Logos

Dear all:

I installed Logos 4 on my Windows 7 machine few years ago. Last year I downloaded the LogosSetup.exe and run the exe file and now upgrade to the latest patch which is 5.2b release 1 (for logos 5).

My question is my data folder is still under logos 4 but not logos 5. Am I still using Logos 4 or 5? I am confused.

You are using Logos 5. What Logos did was save us a lot of downloading, indexing and backups by letting the files stay where they were as we upgraded from Logos 4 to 5.

but not

C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Logos5\Data\random\ResourceManager\Resources

I thought if I upgrade it to Logos 5, it should change the folder to logos 5, am I correct?

No, it is not necessary to change the file names - I suspect that they thought a mix of file names would be even more confusing. The About Logos function will show you precisely what version of Logos you are running.

Only for a new installation (or if you completely uninstall and then reinstall).

Logos outsmarted themselves by naming the installation folder after the product version, so it affects your documents folder, etc. not just your data folder. We might have the same problem with Logos 6!
