Searching for Gillespie should bring up The Presbyterian's Armoury (3 vols) - 2 of which are by George Gillespie. Instead it only brings up a description about and books by Terri Gillespie.
Searching for Thomas Watson should bring up the Thomas Watson Collection (7 vols) but instead only brings up a description about and books by Francis Watson.
That's interesting. If you look at the results page, they have a defaulted 'author' query (Terri) and then a 'text' query (which pulls up the Armoury volumes).
I guess they thought a single word that matched an author would only be one author? Thus Terri won the day. But George is alphabetically senior to Terri. So I'd deduce they're pulling on popularity?
Well, in any event, it's a poorly designed assumption, since oddly enough, there's quite a bit of overlap in religious writer names.
Thanks Stephen,
Good catch, we'll look into this.
The first issue (Gillespie) seems to have been resolved but searches for 'Thomas Watson' still bring up a page and bio about Francis Watson - and not Watson's works.
There's also a new issue where searches for 'Perkins' or even 'William Perkins' bring up a bio of Pheme Perkins rather than the works of William Perkins.
The above all seem to have now been fixed.
Just noticed another one while trying to find a commentary on Jeremiah - a search for Jeremiah redirects to a page about David Jeremiah and only lists books by him.
Another one: Searching for Fleming takes you to a page about James L. Fleming (ignoring authors like David Fleming)
The above hasn't been fixed. Another one I've noticed is that searching for Samuel Davies just brings up information about and books by Philip Davies.
