I do not see a crash in the attached log. Did logos generate a crash log and / or error log? I assume you are entering the passage / topic in the go box on the Home Page. What passage / topic did you enter? If my assumption regarding the home page is not correct, please clarify what you did prior to the crash.
That is correct. I typed Revelation 21:1-8, hit "go". I also tried clicking on the suggested links, which also resulted in the program instantly shutting down and getting a Windows error report.
I was finally able to get to the passage guides/tools by opening up my default Bible and then entering the passage.
As Fredc mentioned, there is no crash in the log. There might be information in Event Viewer, but I'm curious if you're able to do other searches, or run a Passage Guide on it's own from the Guides menu?
IS it still crashing from the homepage after you got it working via a different method?
Wow, no it didn't crash this time. I'm not sure what has made the difference. I had logged out of Windows and restarted everything a couple of times to no avail.
How do I check the Event Viewer?
If it isn't happening anymore I wouldn't worry bout it. Event Viewer can by found by typing "Event Viewer" in your Windows menu search bar, or on Windows 8 the start screen. It's labeled as such and if you go to the "Applications" section on the left it will display errors with applications. Sometimes there s more information there--especially if an outside component is causing the crash.
