I'm wondering if there is a way to create our own modules from our own material or from copyright books we find on the web. Thanks
Yes they are called personal books
we also have some user-created ones in the files forum.
Welcome to the Forums. Yes, it is easy to get sticker shock at the prices for some sets. I think most of us have to choose which offerings we get through Logos and what we use from those free sources.
But Logos editions have a bit extra value in their linking. If it mentions a bible passage, click and you are there. Same with Josephus and many others. Often there are links when a source is cited to that source itself. This lets you follow, and evaluate an authors's treatment of a subject. It will not do your critical reading for you, but it makes it easier. Logos also offers us users free software and tech support. This DOES cost money, but should translate into making the resource easier to use, and more valuable to us.
Again, it is a trade off. You should also be aware that Logos marketing department will merge many resources into bundles and base packages and various seasonal special deals at a better price. These are often better values.
As the others mentioned, you are looking for "personal books" and the "personal book builder" which "compiles" Microsoft Word Documents (in the .docx file format) into books usable within Logos. See the wiki article here: https://wiki.logos.com/Personal_Books
