Is there a way to import a document created in Word or Pages into a Notes document? I tried to cut and paste with no success. Thanks

Is there a way to import a document created in Word or Pages into a Notes document?
From Word, you can create a Personal Book, but there is no way to directly input these documents into a notes doc.
I tried to cut and paste with no success
What happened when you tried this? Did you have tables and/or images in the source document?
