Thanks friends, you directions (links) are spot on!
Which Books/Collections appeal to you in the new Baptist Base Packages?
I only looked at the Diamond package. Here are the resources that hook me:
I remarked in another thread that I wasn't impressed with these new Baptist packages, but I humbly admit that I was very wrong. Sure they don't add much in the way of commentaries for those of us who already own a standard Logos 5 base package, but I went ahead and picked up Baptist Gold yesterday because of the following that have been on my wish list:
There were several other volumes that I need for some upcoming courses as well, so in the end this made sense. I also added both Eerdman's Commentary collections (13 vol. and 4 vol.)...it was a good day. [:)]
I'm not impressed by any of them. I want to hear, learn and see from what others are impressed about. now I'm beginning to see. I want to hear more. Thanks for the list so far.
Which base package do you currently have? Trying to determine whether there is value in these really is an individual assessment. These packages represent good value for someone new to Logos, but for those of us who have been purchasing add-ons for years, the calculus is much harder.
Before yesterday I had L5 Platinum (after originally starting at L3 Gold then L4 Gold...I regret never picking up L4 Platinum) Biblical Languages and Reformed Silver. After careful consideration, I am also leaning toward also picking up Anglican Bronze, Reformed Gold, and Chaplain's Library.
I'd like to see Logos offer base packages for seminary students as well that are based upon feedback from several high profile seminary professors...for instance, the DTS package that is handed out to students would be an interesting offering: http://www.dts.edu/download/student/DTS-Logos-Student-Resources.pdf
I'm not new. I've L-P, Verbum Capstone++ etc I've so many resources. I like the DTS student resource list
