Logos always interrupts shut-downs and log-offs on a Mac, even brand new machines.
Does anyone know if there is a fix involved or being worked on?
(all other apps shut down in time, Logos has to be manually quit)
thanks
Which version of Logos? Which Mac OS? Please provide logs—see the Mac Logging link in my signature. N one can answer your questions without more information.
Logos needs to sync before shutting down. If you have a slow connection or a lot to sync, yes, then it will interrupt a shutdown. Try clicking on the sync arrows and letting the sync finish before shutting down.
Yes, I know Logos syncs. Many apps sync before shutting down. I'm not a programmer, but every other app I have takes the time it needs to shut down without the Mac saying it's been interrupted. Mail.app is a good example, it takes time to clean up.. longer than Logos does sometimes.. and it finished up and doesn't interrupt the shut down process.
All this said, I think it's the way Logos was programmed. It immediately tells the OS that it can't shut down, instead of just running the shut down process without flagging the interruption need to the OS.
As it is, if Logos is running I always need to shut down twice because of this. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's the only app of many that does this consistently. I'm surprised no one has brought this up before..
