Or how to have your cake and eat it.
If you lost your stable 5.2b after installing 5.3 in 64-bit Windows, you can restore it quickly, without downloading/indexing resources:-
- Uninstall Logos 5 Prerequisites from the Windows account you use for 64-bit 5.3
- Quit that account
- Logon to your account with stable 5.2b
- Use this link to restore 5.2b
Setup will install 32-bit Prerequisites, download Logos.msi, find 5.2b is already installed and just start it!
That was the cake, because you can have Logos 5.3 in a similar manner:-
- Uninstall Logos 5 Prerequisites from your 5.2b Windows account
- Quit that account
- Logon to your account with beta 5.3
- Use this beta link to revive 5.3
Power users can do it more easily:-
- Uninstall Logos 5 Prerequisites from the relevant Windows account
- Logon to your other account
- Run LogosPrerequisites.msi (for 5.2b) or LogosPrerequisites-x64.msi from your user ...\Logos5\Install\Installers folder.
- Run Logos
UPDATE:
I've run all the procedures without incident.
Power users will adopt the msi approach for quicker switching (if unsure about a current msi for 5.2b just use the first procedure initially).
