Is there a way to update my library without updating the program when I do a "update now" command? I have purchases to download but I want to wait on the latest program update.

Not that I am aware of. I would advise you, to perform an update directly from the link www.logos.com/installation and be done with it.

I have version 5.b Sr1 but I don't want the latest update due to some issues some are having with the latest update, but I want to refresh my content and download my new content. Is there really no way to do this?

There are no known problems in 5.2b SR-2; it is safe to download and install it. (In fact, you will need to install it to view the latest Timeline data update correctly.)
